The Queen, accompanied by members of the Royal Family, attended Christmas service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham.

Happy holidays to you all! The Queen brought us a rare brooch as a Christmas present, wasn't that nice of her? This is from The Queen Mother and it's only been worn a few times by The Queen - and not since 2015.

A healthy dose of purple was on display among some of the family members accompanying The Queen, much to my delight. The Princess Royal and The Duchess of Cornwall coordinated in grape...

...and The Countess of Snowdon played along, too. I am always here for a jaunty purple hat.

As for everybody else, well, let the parade of neutral coats begin:

A little faux fur trim takes a basic coat a long way down the road to chic. (The focus here was really on Prince George and Princess Charlotte anyway, making their Sandringham church debut.)

We've got serviceable looks from the Wessex ladies...

...and a serviceable look for Princess Eugenie, too. I do wish she wouldn't have waited until all the way down at the heels of her shoes to add some interest.

This coat is incredibly flattering on Princess Beatrice, and deserving of something more polished than those boots and something more coordinated than that headpiece.

The Queen's annual message was broadcast on Christmas Day.

And finally, a nice big sapphire for the annual Christmas broadcast. You can watch this year's message below.
