The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, visited Forth Road Bridge, South Queensferry, to mark its 50th anniversary. Later, she officially named the Royal Navy's new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth at the Royal Dockyard, Rosyth, Fife.
One more classic on the last day of Holyrood Week: Queen Victoria's Bow Brooch, seen on just one other occasion this year so far (also, coincidentally, a naval engagement).
