Updates from the Past and a New Brooch Alert

Past Updates: As time allows, I add events and jewels worn in the past by the Queen. I'm currently working my way back through the 2012 events which occurred before the blog started. These posts are dated back to when they actually occurred, so they don't appear on the front page of the blog. In case you missed them, here are this week's past event and jewel updates:

May 22: Audiences at Buckingham Palace

May 22: Buckingham Palace Garden Party

The Diamond and Gold Rose Brooch

May 21: Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Iris Brooch

May 19: Diamond Jubilee Armed Forces Parade and Muster

May 18: Diamond Jubilee Sovereigns' Luncheon

May 17: Visit to the North West, Day 2

May 16: Visit to the North West, Day 1

The Queen Mother's Shell Brooch

New Brooch Alert: It seems the Queen has yet another Jubilee present coming her way, in the form of another brooch for her collection. The British Jewellers’ Association is putting on a competition to find the best design to use donated gold from around the United Kingdom. Click here to read more about the competition; a link within the article will allow you to view and vote on the potential designs. Which is your favorite?
