The Australian Hibiscus Brooch

The Australian Hibiscus Brooch
A gift to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother from Australia, this brooch depicts two diamond Australian hibiscus flowers with ruby centers.
The Queen Mother wears the brooch for the first time during her 1958 Australian trip
It passed to the Queen after her mother's death in 2002, and it now joins the Australian Wattle Brooch in her collection of bejeweled Australian flora and fauna (that's how you know you have a big brooch collection, when these are your subcategories).
Queen Elizabeth II
The Queen has a particular fondness for wearing this brooch on deep red outfits, and wore it memorably to review Prince William's passing out parade at his graduation from Sandhurst. It was also her choice when she visited William at his RAF base in Wales to tour his Sea King helicopter.
