The Coldstream Guards Badge

The Coldstream Guards Badge (left) and illustration (right)
The badge of the Coldstream Guards, the oldest regular regiment in the British Army, takes the form of the Star of the Order of the Garter, England's oldest order of chivalry. It includes St. George's Cross in the center surrounded by the blue garter with the motto Honi soit qui mal y pense ("Shame on he who thinks ill of it") surrounding it.
As Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment, the Queen has a brooch in the form of the badge. She wears this for all appropriate regiment-related events.
